Design Hero Project: Poster + Book
01/25 Exploring Design Heroes.
Beginning with choosing between two “design heroes” we created collages of our inspirations and discussed them during class with each other through Figma.
My 3 Choices of Design Heroes:
01/27 MoodBoard.
For this project I decided to focus on Raf Simons. I largely appreciate his work and, even more, his process of how he got to where he is now. Through figma I created a mood board showing 8 of his works throughout his design timeline and included a timeline of his portrait in addition. Following this I included typefaces which are associated with his branding and designs.
Grid Exercise:
In-class we practiced different exercises with three posters and observed the grid system for each work with InDesign.
02/04 Beginning Poster Ideas:
Following the critique for my iterations, I recognized a lot of the poster ideas would be applicable better as a magazine spread or cover.
